On Wednesday, June 1, The Royal Ballet performance of Manon will be shown live on big screens across the country. The free performance is part of the BP Summer Big Screen season.
Kenneth MacMillan’s ballet stars Alina Cojocaru as Manon, who falls into a life of lavish prostitution despite her love for Des Grieux, danced by Johan Kobborg. On screen, the performance will be introduced by Deborah Bull and BBC presenter Zeb Soanes.
The performance starts at 7.30pm, and will be shown at the following locations:
Trafalgar Square, London
Millennium Square, Bristol
Market Place, Derby
Market Square, Dover
Festival Square, Edinburgh
Centre Square, Middlesbrough
Chapelfield Plain, Norwich
The Piazza, Plymouth
