La Bayadère in Chester

Posted on January 22, 2015

The Hammond School in Chester will be dancing Jane Elliott’s production of the full-length ballet La Bayadère at its theatre in Mannings Lane, Chester, from March 26 to 27. The production will include many of the work’s famous set-pieces, including the celebrated “Kingdom of the Shades” scene.

Elliott, who is Hammond’s senior classical ballet teacher, is also hoping that Irek Mukhamedov, a patron of the school, will be able to visit and help her coach and inspire the dancers prior to stage rehearsals in March. Tickets are available online now at or by telephoning the box office on 01244 305 362.
