ACS Dance Centre

ACS Dance Centre (ACS) is an award-winning dance school. Under the name Anthony Clifford Studios, it was founded by husband-and-wife team Mark Anthony and Diana Clifford in 1994. Both experienced professional performers, as well as qualified teachers, between them Mark and Diana have qualifications in all the dance disciplines on their curriculum.

ACS prides itself on excellent standards of training for children and adults, whether they wish to learn dancing for pleasure, fitness and self-confidence or with a view to a career within the profession. The school believes that everyone should be given the opportunity to dance, whatever their age.

ACS has classes in ballet, tap, modern, ballroom, Latin American, jazz, drama, singing and disco freestyle.

Children can start with ACS from the age of three. Classes will then take them through the grades up to and including student level. Apart from children’s classes, the school teaches a variety of dance styles for adults, with both classes and private lessons available. It also offers classes in the major vocational examinations, competitive coaching and teacher training for serious advanced/ professional dance students.

ACS has been awarded the IDS Vocational Dance school of the year three years running, 2013 and 2014 and a silver award in 2015 and again winners in 2016.

In 2014 ACS became a CIO registered charity and invests its profits back into the school to pursue it’s objectives and ethos. The school believes that everyone should be given the opportunity to dance and gain from its benefits of health, happiness and fitness.
