arunas-and-katushaArunas Bizokas and Katusha Demidova retained their title at the WDC World Professional Ballroom Championship, held at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on November 23, 2014. Sadly, Victor Fung and his partner Anastasia Muravyeva had to withdraw, reportedly due to cramp.

Dancing for the US, Arunas and Katusha triumphed for the sixth time, remaining undefeated world champions. Great Britain’s Andrea Ghigiarelli and Sara Andracchio came second, with Slovenia’s Domen Krapez and Monica Nigro coming third.

Alexander Zhiratkov and Irina Novozhilova, dancing for Russia, came fourth, with China’s Chao Yang and Yiling Tan in fifth position. Victor and Anastasia were placed sixth in the final, having withdrawn after dancing the waltz. Great Britain’s Warren and Kristi Boyce just missed the final, coming equal seventh with Italy’s Wiktor Kiszka and Genny Favero.
