Tuesday, 07 June 2011Voices in the Alleyway, a new hip hop drama, opens at London’s Cochrane Theatre this week. The show mixes contemporary dance theatre with basketball freestyle.
Balletboyz Bootcamp:
Wednesday, 25 May 2011The Balletboyz will hold their first Bootcamp for boys this summer. The company’s ballet master and two company dancers will lead five days of intensive dance, alongside master sessions with directors Michael Nunn and William Trevitt.
Summer House at The Place:

From July to September, The Place launches Summer House, a new festival of learning, sharing and performance. Artists and enthusiasts of all ages and abilities will come together to form a community, sharing in the dance created and performed at The Place.
BBC fund's support for dance:

The BBC Performing Arts Fund is launching two new schemes in support of dance, Community Dance and Dance Fellowships. The fund, a BBC charity committed to developing new performing arts talent in the UK, will be awarding up to £350,000 in grants through the two schemes. This is the first time the charity has supported dance groups and individuals.
