Putrov and Polunin return to Sadler’s Wells:

Wednesday, 22 February 2012
putrovpoluninIvan Putrov’s Men in Motion, which played at Sadler’s Wells earlier this year, will return to the theatre for an additional run from March 13 to 15. The evening includes works that showcase the “athleticism and beauty of the male form in motion”.

Putrov will be joined by some of the world’s finest dancers, including Sergei Polunin, the Royal Danish Ballet’s Tim Matiakis, and Clyde Archer and Isaac Montllor of Compañía Nacional de Danza. The programme includes Nacho Duato’s Remanso and a new piece choreographed by Polunin himself. Also on the bill is Leon Jacobson’s solo Vestris, originally choreographed for Mikhail Baryshnikov in 1969, as well as Vaslav Nijinsky’s L’après-midi d'un faune.

To book tickets, call the box office on 0844 412 4300, or visit http://www.sadlerswells.com

The Evening Standard reports that, with the assistance of Sadler's Wells, Polunin has now secured a 3-year work visa. The Ukrainian-born dancer had lost his work permit when he resigned from The Royal Ballet last month.
