twitpicIt’s been a busy dance week, with hard work and celebrations both being reported on Twitter.

Phoenix Dance Theatre and Northern Ballet have moved into their new building in central Leeds:
@PhoenixLeeds: Off downstairs in our new building in a bit for a glass of champagne with @NorthernBallet to celebrate the fact we’re all finally here!

Birmingham Royal Ballet is revealing details of David Bintley’s new Cinderella, from casting – Marion Tait as the Stepmother, hurray! – to footwear:
@BRB: New on the Cinderella blog – No glass slipper! http://www.creatingcinderella.com/2010/10/shoes/

Wayne  McGregor is at work on his new dance FAR, for Random Dance | Wayne McGregor. Some of it sounds painful:
@WayneMcGregor: Our youngest dancer, Louis McMiller, fresh from the #Royal Ballet School, is suffering from “McGregor Neck”!!!

Finally, some of our 100th birthday party guests have been tweeting.

The Royal Ballet’s Lauren Cuthbertson:
@LondonBallerina: 100 years DANCING TIMES party AMAZING! The Lowry exhibition AMAZING! Chroma AMAZING! Rehearse for Sylvia today, perform La Valse tonight.

And Rambert’s Mark Baldwin was photographed with our birthday cake:
