sunshine on leithAuditions for dancers will be held on Friday, May 10 for the film musical Sunshine on Leith. Directed by Dexter Fletcher, and produced by DNA Films and Black Camel Pictures, the film will star Peter Mullan and Jane Horrocks. The choreography will be by Arthur Pita.

top-hat-rex-featuresLast night, the musical Top Hat (pictured)  won three Olivier awards: best theatre choreographer for Bill Deamer, best new musical and best costume design for Jon Morrell. Leigh Zimmerman won best performance in a supporting role in a musical for A Chorus Line, while choreographer Gillian Lynne was honoured with a special award. The BBC Radio 2 audience award, voted by members of the public, went to Billy Elliot The Musical.

burn-the-floorbeytanerkmanBurn the Floor, the ballroom stage show, will run until June 30 at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London’s West End. The dance show currently stars Robin Windsor and Kristina Rihanoff, both well known from Strictly Come Dancing. The current season will close when Windsor and Rihanoff complete their limited run in the production.
