The Forget-Me-Not Ball:

img 0070The Forget-Me-Not Ball was held in the spacious Slough Centre Ballroom on February 16. The annual event was a resounding success, although numbers were slightly down, owing to the many Valentine's dances being held on the same date. Doors opened at 7pm for a 7.30pm start and, soon after, the dancers were strutting their stuff on the floor.

Dance Proms is inviting entries from dance teachers around the world for the 2013 showcase of young dance talent at the Royal Albert Hall, London on November 3. It is the first time that this multi-genre dance spectacular has been opened up to international entries.

west-of-england-open-amateur-modern-champsThis year’s West of England Open Championships were held at the well-known Winter Gardens of Weston-super-Mare. Presented and organised by Avon Amateur Dancers Club, the event was a success with competitors and spectators.

Kele Baker is launching Dance Inspiration, a new regular ballroom and Latin class. Baker, who co-choreographs Argentine tango for Strictly Come Dancing, will be teaching at the beautiful Hammersmith Club in west London.
