The Summer of Dance is slowing right down which is why last week’s images are on just three subjects. While I’m working hard to clear the decks for the Mayor's Thames Festival this weekend I’ve also been processing loads of shots from recent events. 

As the finale of Big Dance 2012, Wayne McGregor’s spectacular Big Dance Trafalgar Square, involving 1,000 performers from 30 London groups, will take place this weekend on Saturday, July 14.

If you happen to free this afternoon or evening, Wednesday, July 11, then there are dance treats on offer at London’s Southbank Centre. Dance Today readers might be particularly interested in the screening of cult classic Strictly Ballroom (see below for details).

All-male company Tomorrow’s Men will give a free performance at London’s Canary Wharf tomorrow, Saturday June 30.

The Winchester Hat Fair runs from July 6 to 8, transforming the city centre with street art and performances from tea dancing to free running.
