icandanceThe group icandance – Ballet for Special People will hold its annual show on Saturday, July 7 at artsdepot in London.

The charity offers dance and performance opportunities to children and young people with disabilities. Its founder and principal, Juliet Diener, is a ballet teacher, dance movement psychotherapist and special needs teacher. She started icandance in her own time, working from her own dining room, and acquired charitable status as the enterprise grew. The charity currently teaches 50 children every Saturday, who will perform in this year’s show. Classes are held weekly, and organised according to age and ability. Some of the young people involved need one-to-one or two-to-one support.

This year’s show, titled Going for Gold, will be held at artsdepot, 5 Nether Street, Tally Ho Corner. Tickets are available from the box office on 020 8369 5454 or www.artsdepot.co.uk. See www.icandance.org.uk for more information.
