DSI to capture Blackpool magic on film:

Tuesday, 22 May 2012

We have exciting news for readers of Dance Today! DSI London, which is launching its new media division this week, www.dsi-london.tv, will be recording the drama of Blackpool 2012 in a new film deal and sharing clips with us here, on Dance Today’s website.

The filming promises to provide dance fans everywhere with footage to enjoy, admire and learn from. For the first time, DVDs of each night’s competition will be available the following morning from the Exhibition Hall.

Each disc will feature performances from the semi-finalists and finalists, plus interviews and expert commentary on each dance from Martin Cutler and Richard Miller (pictured) and Geoffrey Hearn. Four DVDs will be produced covering the Amateur and Professional Latin and ballroom competitions, plus highlights of the day’s events.

Gerald Schwanzer of DSI said: “To be involved with Blackpool in this way is really an honour. Who wouldn’t want to do this fantastic festival justice? I’m so pleased that we at DSI will get the chance to deliver all the glamour and skill of Blackpool, even to those who can’t make it up here in person. Blackpool is in every dancer’s blood, to film it for posterity is a dream.”

A pre-order discount is available from www.dsi-london.tv, which also provides a new membership service, giving subscribers access to instructional and performance content, with footage from world-class performers, which can be viewed at any time.

Visitors to Blackpool are invited to the DSI Media stand, alongside the company’s main exhibits, to discover more about either the hot-off-the-press DVDs or the new membership service. See the website for details of all DSI-London’s new services.
