Friday, 24 September 2010

On August 13, the secretary of state for health, Andy Burnham MP, gave a speech calling for physical activity to be the cornerstone of 21st century health and announced a new government group of “dance champions” working with the Department of Health...

They include “Strictly Come Dancing” stars Arlene Phillips (photograph by Bow Powell), Lisa Snowdon and Darren Bennett, and “Come Dancing” presenter Angela Rippon. The champions will run a national campaign to boost participation in dance in the run-up to the 2012 Olympics.
