Dance in the Land of Dragor:

Children’s author Julia Suzuki has created a national dance competition based on her books about the mythical Land of Dragor. The competition, currently at regional heat stage, is open to dancers of all ages (male and female) and contestants are judged on their interpretation of a piece of music and the themes of Julia's book Yoshiko and the Gift of Charms.

Latin American dance company DanceMyWay will host an intensive three-hour workshop on February 19, between noon and 3pm, that promises to “make you move, sweat and learn some amazing Latin and samba moves, footwork and technique”.

The first ever UK-based Zumba instructor conference is about to take place, owing to the huge success of Zumba Fitness nationwide.

In the same month as Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace’s Midnight Tango appears on stage in the West End, the pair will also be captured on canvas in a new exhibition at the Knapp Gallery, Regent’s Park. The exhibition will also run online at Art Gallery (www.artgallery.co.uk).
