WIN Ballet Shoes on DVD

Dancing Times has three copies of “Ballet Shoes”, the BBC screen adaptation of Noel Streatfeild’s classic novel, on DVD to offer as prizes. Set in 1930s London, the story tells of three orphans Pauline (Emma Watson), Petrova (Yasmin Paige) and Posy Fossil (Lucy Boynton), who are adopted by the eccentric explorer “Gum” – Great Uncle Matthew – and raised as sisters by his niece Sylvia and her nurse Nana. Each of the girls has a dream to fulfil – Pauline longs to be an actress, Petrova yearns to be an aviator, and Posy dreams of becoming a ballerina. But when “Gum” disappears, the money runs out and the feisty, ambitious and devoted Fossils find they must fight to survive. With a cast that also includes Richard Griffiths, Emilia Fox, Victoria Wood, Eileen Atkins and Adrian Lester, “Ballet Shoes” offers the best in family entertainment. To enter, just answer the following question: In which popular film series has Emma Watson also starred? Send your answer, along with your name and full postal address by email to competitions@dancing-times.co.uk or
by post to the usual address headed “Ballet Shoes competition” to arrive no later than Monday, March 31.
